applications. This tile generally complies with statewide
code requirements for food preparation, food storage, equipment
washing, and utensil-washing areas.
Additional facts to take into consideration:
• the tile meets statewide requirements for light-colored,
smooth, non-absorbent and easily cleanable surfaces
• the tile meets requirements for retail food store
regulations
• the tile is fire rated class “A” with
a flame spread rating of less than 25 and a smoke developed
rating of less than 450
• the tile should not be installed within 18-inches
of a grease hood or grease duct
• the tile is made of polystyrene - plastic
• the surface of a clean room tile looks similar to
Styrofoam
